Flint, Michigan is Quintin Woods' hometown. He graduated from Southwestern Academy in 2007 after racking up 114 tackles with 8 sacks, 5 pass break ups and 4 fumble recoveries.

After signing with Michigan State, Quintin Woods had a change of heart and instead headed over to Bakersfield Community College. He went on to spend two seasons at Bakersfield and during his sophomore year he made 80 tackles (14 of which were for loss) and 8 sacks.
