Arist Wright may not be a household name, but perhaps his uncle's moniker is more familiar: Vernon Perry. That's right--Arist Wright's Uncle Vern was an NFL football player. With that in mind, Arist Wright's performances have garnered attention and not just due to his uncle's status.

During his years growing up in Houston, Texas, Arist Wright earned varsity letters in football, basketball, and track for Alief Taylor High School. Additionally, he earned the Academic All-District First Team award after his senior year.

In 2005, Arist Wright redshirted. In 2006, he made four starts and participated in all 12 games. By the end of the year, he had recorded 27 tackles, several of those being solo.

Arist Wright's 2007 seasons wasn't quite as hot. He performed primarily as a backup linebacker or with special teams. He ended the season with 17 tackles.
