Memorial Stadium is home to the Kansas Jayhawks football team.  It opened in 1921 and has been the home to the Kansas Jayhawks football team ever since.  It is called Memorial Stadium to commemorate Kansas students who died in World War I.  It seats a little over 50,000 and is located in Lawrence, Kansas.  The stadium is shaped like a horseshoe, with an opening on one end of the field behind the endzone.
